Rescued from near oblivion by chance discoveries of lost manuscripts, this 17th-Century priest and poet is bursting with fresh appeal.

Denise Inge is an Honorary Fellow in Early Modern Research at the University of Worcester. She has written three books on Thomas Traherne, and her Happiness and Holiness appeared in the Spectator’s ‘Book of the Year 2008’.
