He is committed to ending the conveyor belt funeral experience, getting rid gas-guzzling hearses and plastic-handled coffins in favour of meaningful, participatory ceremonies. Ru Callender is co-founder of The Green Funeral Company and author of What Remains: Life, Death and the Human Art of Undertaking. His unlikely ritual influences include the making of crop circles, punk and acid house culture.
