Ben Silvey

Trustee

Ben has been a salesman in Tandy (if you’re old enough to remember), a sound engineer, a youth worker, a YMCA-er and now by some strange turn of events finds himself as the Chief Operating Office of Bristol Cathedral

He discovered Greenbelt as a teenager in the mid 1990s – and kept coming back and volunteering through the Cheltenham years until family and work got in the way. Last year was his first year back complete with a wife and three teenagers in tow – and he loved every minute!

He’s a Bristolian who has never left, and has been involved as a trustee of a number of charities in the city – particularly focussed on supporting young people. He considers getting involved in Greenbelt as a trustee as a huge privilege.
