Ruth is a Greenbelt regular who will be speaking for the first time this year, ahead of the publication of her first novel, “Enemy of the Earth”.
Ruth has spent a career working in the charitable sector for a range of environmental and social causes and has won numerous awards and spoken at international meetings about charitable giving. She wrote “Enemy of the Earth” while working at Christian Aid, following a period of travelling in Peru.
With a first degree in Theology and a second in Environment, Society and Policy, Ruth is fascinated by ecological ethics and what they mean for our everyday lives – where we draw boundaries and how we avoid the twin extremes of hypocrisy and fundamentalism – issues she explores in “Enemy of the Earth”, a tense and gripping drama of relationships between people and their planet.
