Liz Slade is the Chief Officer of the UK Unitarians, and part of the Hard Art collective. A background in healthcare and her encounter with Unitarianism led her to examine the role community plays in our collective well-being, a thread that led her to explore spiritual community beyond traditional faith groups. She became COO of Sunday Assembly, a global network of secular congregations, and co-founded Common Ground, which offers pilgrimages that apply sacred reading practices to beloved novels. Her work with the Unitarian movement, with its commitment to free and inquiring religion, continues this quest to develop the spiritual communities that offer meaning and belonging beyond the boundaries of tradition.
