Katie Walters is an autistic and physically disabled poet, who won the National Youth Poetry Slam in 2014.
She has performed a number of times in collaboration with the National Autistic Society, and supported Henry Normal at their Valentine’s day benefit this year, as well competing in the prestigious Roundhouse Slam, and performing at Shambala Festival.
Her poetry is politically charged and passionate, comprised of complicated metaphors about serious things, like disability, homophobia, and love.
