Hazey Jane are an Indie-Folk quartet from Hackney, London. Their mesmerizing songs combine traditional folk storytelling with arena sized pop hooks, swooning four part vocal harmonies with fingerpicked acoustic motifs and delicate electric guitar lines.
Indebted to Nick Drake, CSNY and John Prine, the band breathe fresh air into London’s burgeoning folk scene. The band formed in 2014 and found themselves practicing in some of London’s underground venues before creating their own live music event ‘Folk on the Downs’ and touring across the South East.
Their songs, aspirational and inspirational in equal measure, leave you humming the hooks for weeks. In May, the band will embark on a UK tour in support of their upcoming EP. Title track ‘Lifeboat’ observes the stubborn optimism of Britain’s youth despite increased isolationism gripping the islands as a whole.
