A George Luke DJ set is a joyous affair, full of variety and surprises.
You will hear salsa. You will hear Afro Beat. Rai will blend with reggaeton, bossa nova with drum & bass. But he will also give you soul, funk, reggae, 70s disco and good old-fashioned pop.
George has been DJing at Greenbelt since 2011 and once gave a GTV talk on how to DJ. At last year’s festival, he did a special “best of British black music” set as part of the Windrush-themed Sunday communion service.
George is also a regular DJ at Africa Oyé, the UK’s biggest African music festival, which is held in Liverpool every year.
Last year, George left south London where he’d lived since the 80s, and moved to Chesham in the leafy Chilterns. He wasted no time in joining the local community station Chiltern Voice, and now presents a two-hour World Music show every Sunday evening.
