David Conn is an award-winning journalist, author and broadcaster, principally known for his investigative work on Hillsborough and the financial and social transformation of English football which followed; the Premier League breakaway and sale of the TV rights to BSkyB.
He writes for the Guardian newspaper, is the current Press Gazette sports journalist of the year and Sports Journalists’ Association’s sports news reporter of the year, an award he has won twice previously.
He is the author of three acclaimed books chronicling and critically analysing English football’s commercial transformation: The Football Business (1997), The Beautiful Game? Searching for the Soul of Football (2004) and Richer Than God: Manchester City, Modern Football and Growing up (2012).
