Daniel Munayer encapsulates the rich diversity and fascinating complexity that continues to offer hope to resolving the intracable conflict that impact all who live in the Land that some call Holy.
Daniel is half British and half Palestinian Israeli. He is a Christian Leader who was born and raised and continues to live in Jerusalem. Daniel travels extensively across Israel and Palestine, developing and delivering conflict resolution programmes.
He is the only Palestinian ever to be invited to personally address the UN Security Council in New York.
Daniel is the Executive Director of Musalaha, a faith-based organization that teaches, trains and facilitates reconciliation, mainly between Iraelis and Palestinians from diverse ethnic and religious backgrounds. Prior to Daniel’s work with Musalaha, Daniel co-founded the organization Lighthouse Relief on Lesvos Island, a humanitarian start-up responding to the arrival of refugees in Greece. After establishing Lighthouse Relief, he continued to work for several years with Danish Refugee Council and Nonviolent Peaceforce, responding to the humanitarian crisis in Greece and Iraq. Daniel holds an MBA with Distinction from Durham University Business School, UK. In addition, he also graduated with honours from the highly selective 3-year Global Scholars Program at American University in Washinton D.C., focusing on International Relations and Philosophy/Religious Studies.
