Jon found his place as the youngest contender and the only first novelist on the 2002 Booker Prize longlist for his novel If Nobody Speaks of Remarkable Things. The novel has since won the 2003 Somerset Maugham Award, and his second novel So Many Ways To Begin was published in 2006.
