Dieudonné forgave the people who killed his father during the Burundi genocide, some of whom were his neighbours. This has been embodied in a pioneering organisation he founded called New Generation, fusing street children and their knowledge with top school leavers to develop leaders for Burundi’s future.
Dieudonné Nahimana is well known in Burundi for his work with street children and young people. A former street child himself, he runs a programme that fuses top school achievers with street children in order to develop leaders committed to ethnic unity and anticorruption.
