Commenting on aspects of society and culture ranging from Scottish Independence to quality of life to the inexplicable rise of Robin Thicke, alternative Scottish hip-hop band Stanley Odd like to keep an eye on things.
2013 saw Stanley Odd’s first trip to the US (in support of The View), their two biggest headline shows to date (accompanied by an 11-piece string orchestra), a Scottish Album of the Year nomination and a host of summer festival appearances. This relentless schedule helped to win the band widespread support from national papers, magazines and radio outlets including the Sunday Herald, The List, The Skinny, BBC Radio 1, RTE 2FM and BBC Radio Scotland.
The Sunday Herald called them “the voice of a generation.”
