Singer and songwriter Paul Bell is excited to be returning to Greenbelt in 2015. A place he describes as “special and inspiring”.
Paul’s latest album, “Small Town Boy” has been well reviewed and received airplay on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio 2, with Clare Balding commenting “I like that, I like that very much”. This year he released a companion 20-track disc of songs from his earlier out-of-print albums titled “What I call romance” after a song which is a firm favourite.
Since starting out, 9 years ago, Paul has played hundreds of gigs from coffee shops to churches, bars to festivals, and has found a focus on music that is warm, thought provoking, and engaging, with a wry smile running through it.
Singing songs of (amongst other things) the innocence of childhood, the love required to stay the course and the theology of Cher’s “Shoop Shoop” song, Paul is looking forward to joining friends old and new in The Bright Field.
