As a singer-songwriter, Iain Archer has made five albums full of raw and intimate gems – warm, often folk-infused and full of rich imagery.
He’s hard to pin down though, and can equally be found playing guitar alongside Peter Buck of REM in Gary Lightbody’s supergroup Tired Pony, or in a far-off studio working with legends like Rick Rubin.
More recently he has been off-stage, making music with young breakthrough artists such as James Bay, Luke Sital-Singh and Jake Bugg providing co-writing and production with each.
James Bay’s ‘Hold Back the River’ is just one of his most recent co-writes.
Iain received an Ivor Novello Award co-writing Snow Patrol’s breakthrough album Final Straw, and was nominated for a second in 2013.
He’s a seasoned performer and loves to play live, so needless to say this is a rare opportunity to catch him do his thing before he’s back in St Luke’s bell tower in north London making more history.
