Cry Over Spilt Milk
Last December, Louise Burns was asked by Claridges to be more discreet while breastfeeding in their store. A frenzy of social media discussion ensued. Cry Over Spilt Milk is a mixed media display of works questioning what society deems appropriate in public and private. It opens up discussion about the visibility and normality of breastfeeding, exploring how society views the female body and the relationship of mother and child.
