The Greenbelt weekend – with its reams of talks, art and conversation – can be a pretty mind-altering, life-changing experience. But even the most intense experiences fade over time as summer draws to a close, the kids head back to school, and autumn sets in.
So how do you keep the Greenbelt afterglow burning brightly as that sun-kissed weekend becomes a distance memory? Well, we’ve got a few ideas…
- Keep watching
We just released our film from Greenbelt 2017. In case you’ve forgotten just how magical the weekend was, it’s now committed to film and on YouTube for all to see. So if you’re trying to persuade your church pals or Aunty Sally to join you next year, send this to them and they’ll be snapping up tickets for GB18 quicker than you can say ‘good times’. Better still, you might even spot yourself in the film! - Keep reading
There were oodles of inspirational writers and thinkers at this year’s festival. And most of them have books out that will keep you thinking for months (nay, years!) to come. From Chibundo Onuzo’s Welcome to Lagos to Charles Handy’s The Second Curve, you can feed that Greenbelt feeling well into the winter darkness. - Keep dancing
From Lee Bains III and The Glory Fires to La Chiva Gantiva, we’re proud to have introduced you to some irresistible new music in the field. Keep dancing to all your festival favourites (and listen to any you missed) with our Spotify playlist – featuring all the artists who played this year. - Keep listening
It’s impossible to get to every talk at Greenbelt, unless you somehow manage to access pioneering technology and clone yourself a few times. Thankfully, all the recorded talks from this year’s festival are now available to download or order online. A veritable smorgasbord of wisdom and provocation to fuel your living for the Common Good (and your anticipation for 2018’s Acts of the Imagination). - Keep wearing
Postpone snipping off your festival wristband for a few months. Or see if it can make it to GB18! And if you picked up a festival t-shirt, make sure you’re wearing it every day (if possible – try Febreze) and telling anyone who crosses your path what a wonderful time it was. - Keep camping
There’s nothing stopping you from pitching your tent in your back garden. And you could even hire a portalble loo for that true festival experience. It’ll help you get in touch with your creatureliness and remind you about the goodness of the earth. - Keep sharing
If you haven’t popped your festival snaps on Instagram yet, we’d still love to see them. The hashtag’s #gb17. - Keep booking
Early bird tickets are now on sale for Greenbelt 2018! Save a whopping £50 off the adult weekend ticket by booking today. And 18-25s can snag tickets for £75 for the whole weekend if they get them now. You’ll save a tonne of money, and we’ll get the early income we need to make the festival the best it can possibly be. - Keep feeding back
Don’t forget to take our post-festival survey to let us know what you thought of GB17. (You might even win a pair of free tickets to next year’s festival.)
