To mark Greenbelt’s 50th anniversary, we’ve teamed up with Citizens UK to recruit 50 new hosts for Ukrainians fleeing war and invasion as part of their pioneering Communities for Ukraine programme. We’re looking for 50 Greenbelt households to take a personal, positive and meaningful step – and be one of the 50 new hosts.
Communities for Ukraine supports both hosts and Ukrainian guests throughout their journey. Giving dignity and agency to refugees from the time they consider coming to the UK, through to their arrival and resettlement in a new home. This approach to refugee sponsorship emphasises the leverage of community to provide a safe, supported, and sustainable process for Ukrainian refugees to resettle in the UK.
