Travelling light means we don’t travel alone. By travelling together we bear one another’s burdens, share joys, and lighten the load of our journey.
Greenbelt communion this year will be led by the Rev Becca Stevens, singer-songwriters from the church she leads, St Augustine’s Episcopal in Nashville, Tennessee, and graduates from Thistle Farms, a community of women who have survived prostitution, trafficking and addiction, founded by Becca in 1997.
With music that draws inspiration from American roots, and worship grounded in the radical love found in Thistle Farms, the service will incorporate themes of community, love, restoration and healing.
As we learn to let go of the past, and forgive ourselves and others, we will leave inspired (to learn) to love the whole world, one person at a time.
